Eva’s Take on J-Town’s French Fries
Let's be real, potatoes are the best food ever...in my opinion! They taste amazing every which way you cook them: chips, hash browns, baked potatoes, potato salad, mashed potatoes, and, of course, french fries! Asking me to pick my favorite potato dish is like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. Anyway, here are the best french fries in Julian in no particular order. Enjoy!
Miner's Diner
You can’t have a burger without fries—that’s an American sin. A Miner’s Burger with a side of fries is my go-to order here. These aren’t just any old fries. At Miner’s, their addicting battered fries have a crispy outside and a soft inside. Ask for a side of ranch or Thousand Island dressing. Ten times better with it! Or of course, you can dip your fries in your milkshake; it’s the American way.
Soups and Such
Soups and Such has delicious wide-cut regular and sweet potato fries that go well with their sandwiches as well as their fresh and juicy burgers.
Heroes Restaurant
Heroes’ Chief Cole makes their fries in-house. Yep! Never-frozen potatoes cut daily. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. I’ll take the Fried Chicken Wrap with a side of fries.
Wynola Pizza
In addition to their one of a kind wood-fired thin-crust pizzas here, you can find mozzarella sticks, Fire-Roasted Artichoke Dip, and your daily dose of fries. You can pick between regular and sweet potato fries. French fries, beer, and football make for a great Sunday afternoon.
Quecho
You can’t go wrong with Mr. Manitas’ loaded fries. One order of these makes for a great meal with leftovers!
Farm House on 78
Are you a soft french fry lover? This is the place for you! The Farm House on 78 has perfectly soft fries that go great with a warm sandwich or one of their loaded burgers.
